Wrongly attributed quote
The quotation in the final paragraph in the front page news article "Future of Fillmore Plaza in question" in the January issue should have been attributed to District 10 City Councilwoman Jeanne Robb:
Councilwoman Robb told LIFE, “I do realize that keeping Cherry Creek a vibrant area is good for the retailers, good for the surrounding neighborhoods, and good for the city, so I’m always open to public discussions of this ‘symbiotic’ relationship. But to really reopen this discussion, I’ll need to see considerable community support. It wasn’t there last time (in 2006), and I don’t yet know where that support is.”
CCC has been contacted re proposal for Civic Center moviesIt was incorrectly stated in "Civic Center movie proposal goes to Council" [January, front page] that the Civic Center Conservancy (CCC) had not been contacted about the plan. In fact, US OpenAir has been in regular contact with the CCC concerning the proposal.
Only City Park considered for new off-leash areas It was mistakenly reported in the December issue that parts of Commons Park were still being considered for use as a new, unfenced, off-leash dog park (“Off-leash dog fees & hours discussed,” front page). That is incorrect. Only portions of City Park are still being studied for such possible use. Also, the proposed annual user fee for off-leash areas would be charged in addition to the normal pet licensing fee and could be used to at least partially fund enforcement of the Animal Control laws. |
