COMMERCE CITY -- The Adams 14 School District will sever its relationship with MGT Consulting two months early.
The effective date is Friday, Feb. 11.
In a press statement, the district said the Colorado State board of education will allow the district "to make necessary decisions to operate the district and continue its turnaround efforts."
"In essence, these actions temporarily restore all day-to-day decision-making authority to run the district to the duly elected Adams 14 board of education and its superintendent, Karla Loría," the statement said. "It is the shared commitment of the Adams 14 board of education, Superintendent Karla Loría and the
district’s senior leadership to minimize any disruption throughout this transition."
The statement promised "normal" teaching and learning withion the district. Community meetings are planned for the next few weeks to let the district explain its next steps .
